Sara Smith-Frings.
 
imageSara views herself as extremely fortunate to have spent her childhood in both Venezuela and Mexico, spending approximately 10 years in each country. Thus, she is proficient in the Spanish language and familiar with the Hispanic culture while maintaining proficiency in English. With 37 years of experience in language education, and an expertise in language instruction, including dual language projects, Sara's enthusiasm is for second language instruction, especially Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL). Her years of work in education incorporate 22 years teaching languages to adolescents and adults, and an additional 15 years as a director of other language programs. The last included professional development for teachers and curriculum development. Under her supervision, her former district began dual language programs with the goal of students that are bilingual, biliterate and bicultural.


With her years of addressing teachers' needs and helping instructors to do the same, Sara's current tutees have their course of study planned on each individual's needs. Every individual has diverse interests and needs thus these are utilized as a part of planning the lessons.One of the texts I recommend for my students is Spanish Verb Tenses, Premium, third Edition.
